How to Send And Receive E-mails from Multiple Accounts in one Gmail Account

In this tutorial I will show you how you can access and manage different e-mail accounts of any kind be it yahoo, hotmail or even personalized e-mail accounts like lwasampijjab@teratechuganda.com through your Gmail account. You will be able to receive messages from all your accounts into this one account without login to the other accounts and compose or reply to messages as you would when logged into other accounts.

You have more than one email accounts elsewhere and you always have to sign into every single one of them?  I know this is tiring and it was for me too, until I learnt how to control all the other e-mail accounts through a single Gmail account. In order to be able to do this you must have an existing Gmail account, or you can always sign up for a free Gmail account here!

How to Setup Multiple Accounts:
This is not really that hard or tech stuff, all you have to do is follow up on these few extra steps and images and you will have all your email accounts in one step and avoid the hustling.

Steps:

1. Log in your existing Gmail account.
2. Go to settings. These settings are available under your account picture as a gear symbol. The settings has multiple options to alter your account per you require.

3. On the settings page go to Accounts tab and then click “Add a POP3 mail account you own”.

4. A pop up window will show, enter the e-mail address you would like to add then click “Next step”.
5. Enter the password for that e-mail address; make sure the user name is the complete E-mail address. Tick
Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server. Learn more
Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail. Learn more
Label incoming messages: as shown in the image below. Choose port 995.

6. Click “Add Account” and click “Yes, I want to be able to send mail as …” Click next step.
7. To prove ownership, a pass key will be e-mailed to the address provided. Log into that e-mail, retrieve the key and paste it into the next pop up window. When it is accepted, the whole process will be complete. Your e-mails will be fetched into your inbox.
8. Repeat steps 2-7 for any other e-mail addresses that you own.
9. In case you need to change the email address you want to use when sending a message, on the compose tab there is a “From” tab, it’s where you choose the email address you want to use when sending a new message.

Note: You are allowed to add up to 5 e-mail addresses that you own. The Gmail system checks and fetches e-mails on a 30 minutes to 1 hour interval and apparently there is nothing I have found so far to change this. But it is still good compare to logging into all the e-mail addresses. Good luck.
