How to Send And Receive E-mails from Multiple Accounts in one Gmail Account

In this tutorial I will show you how you can access and manage different e-mail accounts of any kind be it yahoo, hotmail or even personalized e-mail accounts like lwasampijjab@teratechuganda.com through your Gmail account. You will be able to receive messages from all your accounts into this one account without login to the other accounts and compose or reply to messages as you would when logged into other accounts.

You have more than one email accounts elsewhere and you always have to sign into every single one of them?  I know this is tiring and it was for me too, until I learnt how to control all the other e-mail accounts through a single Gmail account. In order to be able to do this you must have an existing Gmail account, or you can always sign up for a free Gmail account here!

How to Setup Multiple Accounts:
This is not really that hard or tech stuff, all you have to do is follow up on these few extra steps and images and you will have all your email accounts in one step and avoid the hustling.

Steps:

1. Log in your existing Gmail account.
2. Go to settings. These settings are available under your account picture as a gear symbol. The settings has multiple options to alter your account per you require.

3. On the settings page go to Accounts tab and then click “Add a POP3 mail account you own”.

4. A pop up window will show, enter the e-mail address you would like to add then click “Next step”.
5. Enter the password for that e-mail address; make sure the user name is the complete E-mail address. Tick
Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server. Learn more
Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail. Learn more
Label incoming messages: as shown in the image below. Choose port 995.

6. Click “Add Account” and click “Yes, I want to be able to send mail as …” Click next step.
7. To prove ownership, a pass key will be e-mailed to the address provided. Log into that e-mail, retrieve the key and paste it into the next pop up window. When it is accepted, the whole process will be complete. Your e-mails will be fetched into your inbox.
8. Repeat steps 2-7 for any other e-mail addresses that you own.
9. In case you need to change the email address you want to use when sending a message, on the compose tab there is a “From” tab, it’s where you choose the email address you want to use when sending a new message.

Note: You are allowed to add up to 5 e-mail addresses that you own. The Gmail system checks and fetches e-mails on a 30 minutes to 1 hour interval and apparently there is nothing I have found so far to change this. But it is still good compare to logging into all the e-mail addresses. Good luck.

If you have any question, don’t hesitate to email me at Contact us here.

What are Backlinks?

Why Are Backlinks Important for Search Engine Optimization?

What are Backlinks?
Backlinks are known as incoming links (inlinks) are hyperlinked  text that when clicked will redirect the visitor to your web site or a blog. Backlinks are very important in terms of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) because more the inlinks to your website or blog the more the chance your site will come on top of a search engine index list.
The reason you are probably reading this article about backlinking is because you have been told that backlinks are important for SEO, now the only question remaining is that, how do you get high quality backlinks to your website?

First things first, create high quality content for your website or blog in your specific niche and this has to be original content and not copied from other websites. Always remember that good quality content is what will keep the traffic to your site and establish you as an authority in that niche therefore ensuring that the site visitors always come back to your site.

Here at Tera Tech we have come up with some ideas as a way of getting you started with creating quality backlinks for your website in the following steps:

1. Place links strategically:
It has become a thing of the past spamming across many  forums and blogs to get more backlinks. Although some people still practice and encourage this practice, we have found that it does not always work as website owners get to filter through incoming comments and if yours are marked spam with some software or plugins, this could alert the search engines and your site can be marked as a spam site or removed from the index. It is advisable to look out for a targeted audience specific to your niche and on leading blogs or forums whose influence you can tap into to establish your self through regular and helpful comments to these forums.

2. Guest Blogging:
This is one of the greatest ways to develop high quality backlinks, the only trick would be to pick influential blogs with in your niche, choose appealing and important topics to the members of the blog. The articles written should be keyword optimized, just remember that you are writing  the articles for people and not the such engines so always avoid keyword stuffing in the content that you write.

3. Create backlinks social media:
Today no one can understate the power of social media in building quality backlinks. Its no longer about posting stuff on Facebook or just Tweeting, search engines these days take not on who is posting on social media and the quality of links on the postings. Get on all social media, this will not only increase your product views, it will also directly take back visitors to your site from the links on social media.

4. Keywords and Backlinks:
Like I mentioned earlier that you are having quality content and remembering to write articles for people and not search engines, when the keywords on your website or blog do not match to where you are linking from,  the search engine will know and that's a fact. Remember that the search engines also penalize for keyword stuffing, and other off book tricks you can use in an gaining high ranking for your site. You don't have to force keywords where they don't fit, let the article flow naturally and the usage of keywords will not be a problem if you writing about the correct subject to the right targeted audience.

5. Have a defined backlink strategy in place:
Depending on the resources at hand or size of your business but it is important in whatever strategy that you choose to remember the following;
  • Develop fresh content for your website so that people always have something new to look forward to, that will keep them coming back to your site.
  • Use the power of social media.
  • Guest blogging remains you best shot.
Good luck.

Search Engine Optimization: What do you know?

What is Search Engine Optimization?
One of the services we do offer at Tera Tech Uganda is Search Engine Optimization and if you have been around the net, own a blog or a website I am sure by now you have come across the term “SEO” or Search Engine Optimization and if you are not familiar with the term I am sure this will give you the heads up.
SEO basically is the processes of improving the number of people who visit your website or blog (web traffic) using a number of laid down SEO techniques and procedures that in turn will help your website or blog to receive better ranking or top positions  with the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing  when certain keywords and phrases which people commonly put in the search field of search engines when searching for specific information.

The basic idea and function of making a website or blog is to offer information either about our business, or of on specific topics of our interest with the expected outcome of that content being seen. Of course you cannot go on telling people keep on visiting your site because of the of the “great” content it has, well some people do it but this is where SEO comes in handy. How? Well imagine when you want to find specific information, the first thing that comes to your mind is use a search engine, I use Google so I “Google it” since I know this is easiest way to get that particular information that I am looking for. The moment I have my search results I often tend to look click the links on the first page and most certainly the top links, because I know these will be most relevant to the information I am looking for.

Our ultimate GOAL of search engine optimization here at Tera Tech is to make sure that your website gets search engines ranking as high as possible which, leading to increased online visibility for you and your business due to the increased traffic to your website. The great thing about SEO is that we all have leveled field in our specific niches whether it’s a brand new business enterprise trying to get established online or a highly recognized business, all have equal opportunities and are ranked the same in the search engines organic or none paid search. When your website is optimized properly, the rewards are great as your business will have leads that will certainly turn into business for you or your business.

How Do we Achieve this with SEO?
What you probably need to understand is that there is no single, comprehensive approach that works for every blog or website since every business or company is unique, so success with SEO needs a different and customized strategy for each business. SEO is a process and there are no shortcuts as results will be seen in weeks or months but not today but what you will be guaranteed is that correctly done SEO will turn your business presence online stronger than it was before creating great publicity for your goods and services reaching and engaging your desired target audience.
Always remember to create content for your clients and not for the search engine and this is one of the biggest mistakes that website owners make. It will not be of any importance to be ranked high on the search engine when a person cannot even spend a minute on your website due to the poor nature of your content. Great content will always keep clients coming back and referring others to your site because it has the information that they need.

Why you need a website for your business

In this era of online marketing, it is inevitable for business start-ups or already existing business to have a website set up as early as possible. I have heard so many excuses from business owners and individuals as to why they do not have websites, many say that their business are so small and having a website is expensive and it's a lot of work to have it established. Well, not any more! There are so many companies out there that build website cheap and fast and it has become business essential and an advantage to have your website online just as immediate as you start your business because of the following five reasons.

  1. Reach more potential clients, by having a website online 24/7 all year round will greatly expose your business to huge numbers of potential customers and in the long run will increase  your  clientele. It is true that by the time someone lands onto your website, they have some interest in what you have to offer so your business will have a constant promotion to a targeted audience.
  2. Easy and increased interaction between you and your clients since there is a gate way to support communication. A customer can send you a direct mail asking about certain particulars or you can have pre-designed forms where the potential customer can just select and send you an inquiry and you can provide them with feedback.
  3. Measure the success and reach of your business website. Unlike print media, radio or television adverts, sometimes it is very difficult to actually know how many people saw or heard your advert but with a website, you can always analyze the comprehensive statistics to see how many people are visiting your site, what pages and content are they are viewing and how long do they spend on your site or where they came from. This is serious information that can guide decision making for your business.
  4. Give out more information about your business as a website does not limit on how much volume of content you can present. Look at a radio or television advert where you will have a few seconds to give information, in print media where you will be designated a corner where to display limited text about your business. Having a website will allow you to fully explain about your work, qualifications, and clients you have worked with or just about anything that you think will bring in more customers.
  5. Although the start-up costs might be somewhat “expensive”, ultimately having a constantly running advertising and marketing forum in form of a website is cost-effective in the long run as compared to other forms of advertising.
